Mr. Prashant Chaudhary Appointed President of the Newly Established Russian–Indian Trade House
A New Milestone in Strengthening Bilateral Trade Between Russia and India
The signing of the Memorandum for the Russian–Indian Trade House at the “Russian Industrialist 2025” Forum in St. Petersburg marks a major milestone in strengthening economic cooperation between Russia and India. This initiative becomes the seventh Trade House within the Union’s expanding global network, which already includes Vietnam, Mongolia, China, Cambodia, and Thailand.
The agreement was formalised between Mr. Roman Malinovsky, President of the Union of International Trade Houses, and Mr. Prashant Chaudhary, who has been appointed President of the newly established Russian–Indian Trade House. Headquartered in New Delhi, the Trade House will serve as a strategic institution to enhance bilateral trade, investment, tourism, and workforce collaboration between both nations.
Highlighting the long-standing relationship between the two countries, Mr. Prashant Chaudhary stated:
“India and Russia share a deep foundation of trust and partnership. The establishment of the Russian–Indian Trade House ushers in a new era of opportunity, enabling businesses from both sides to connect, collaborate, and grow. Our focus is to build an efficient ecosystem for trade, technology exchange, and skill development that supports the economic ambitions of both nations.”
Mr. Roman Malinovsky added:
“We are confident that under Mr. Chaudhary’s leadership, this initiative will strengthen economic ties and open new avenues of cooperation.”
Bilateral trade between India and Russia crossed a record USD 70 billion in 2024. With the launch of the Trade House, both sides aim to further expand collaboration in energy, manufacturing, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and services.
A bilingual digital platform will soon be introduced, offering businesses a dedicated portal for partnership queries, export promotion, and seamless trade facilitation.
