StarDream Cruises Eases Fuel Surcharge Across Regional Markets

StarDream Cruises, the parent company of StarCruises and Dream Cruises, has announced a significant reduction in fuel surcharges across its regional cruise deployments, offering added value to guests sailing aboard Genting Dream, Star Navigator, and Star Voyager.

Effective for sailings departing on or after 26 June 2026, guests embarking from Singapore and Malaysia will benefit from a complete waiver of fuel surcharges. Meanwhile, passengers sailing from Taiwan and Hong Kong will enjoy a 50% reduction in the current fuel surcharge.

The cruise operator stated that the revised surcharge structure reflects improving fuel market conditions and takes into account the varying operational requirements across different regional deployments. The move underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional cruise experiences while ensuring greater affordability for travellers.

Commenting on the announcement, Michael Goh, President of StarDream Cruises, said that the company has consistently maintained a transparent approach toward fuel surcharges, implementing them only when operationally necessary and reviewing them regularly. With fuel prices showing signs of stabilization, the cruise line believes it is appropriate to pass on the benefits to its guests.

The surcharge relief is expected to enhance the attractiveness of cruise holidays across Asia, particularly for travellers from key source markets such as Singapore and Malaysia, where the fuel surcharge has now been fully eliminated.

StarDream Cruises reaffirmed that it will continue to closely monitor global fuel price trends and adjust its surcharge policies when necessary. The company remains focused on providing competitive pricing, memorable onboard experiences, and strong value across all its regional cruise offerings.

The latest move is expected to be welcomed by cruise enthusiasts and travel partners alike, further strengthening demand for cruising in Asia as the sector continues its steady growth trajectory.
