Uzbekistan Airways Launches Historic Direct Flight from New Delhi to Namangan
Uzbekistan Airways JSC, in partnership with its India representative Aero World Travels, successfully flagged off its inaugural direct flight from New Delhi to Namangan, marking a significant milestone in Indo-Uzbek aviation connectivity. This historic launch establishes the first-ever direct international air link between India and the city of Namangan.
The inaugural flight ceremony was attended by senior leadership from Uzbekistan Airways India and distinguished dignitaries, including Sardor Rustambaev, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to India, who jointly flagged off the flight.
Flight HY9432 departed Indira Gandhi International Airport at 13:45 hrs and arrived in Namangan at 16:02 hrs, completing the journey in an efficient 2 hours and 11 minutes. The flight operated with a total of 173 passengers on board, reflecting strong initial demand. The passenger mix included Indian medical students as well as working professionals travelling onward to Vnukovo.
The service will operate once weekly, every Friday, utilizing an Airbus A320 aircraft configured with 174 all-economy class seats. With this addition, Uzbekistan Airways becomes the only airline offering direct connectivity from India to both Tashkent and Namangan.
This new route further strengthens the existing robust air connectivity between India and Uzbekistan.
