ETAA Concludes Knowledge Sessions on Malaysia Tourism in Association with Tourism Malaysia

The Enterprising Travel Agents Association (ETAA) successfully concluded a series of three knowledge sessions on Malaysia tourism, held in association with Tourism Malaysia. A 26-year-old national association with a membership base of over 700, ETAA continues to remain one of India’s largest bodies for Non-IATA travel agents. The association is dedicated to strengthening industry networks while consistently upgrading member knowledge through training and educational initiatives.

Over 30 travel agents participated in the sessions, which were hosted at the Tourism Malaysia office in Mumbai. The attendees had the unique opportunity to interact with Ms. Noriah Jaafar, Director, Tourism Malaysia and Mr. T. Ediwanto Eddie, Deputy Director, Tourism Malaysia. The presentations were made engaging and insightful by Ms. Jane D’Cruz, Marketing Manager, Tourism Malaysia, who said:

“Tourism Malaysia organised three monthly product briefing sessions for ETAA members from September to November at our Mumbai office. Through ETAA’s platform, we shared comprehensive insights into Malaysia’s diverse tourism offerings. Our focus was on promoting ‘Malaysia – Beyond Kuala Lumpur’ and creating awareness about visa-free entry for Indian travellers until 31st December 2026, as part of our build-up to Visit Malaysia Year 2026. We are delighted to continue this series in 2026 and thank ETAA for the strong association.”

Reacting to the initiative, ETAA National Board Members expressed their appreciation:

Mr. Jagat Mehta, National Director, stated, “We are grateful to Tourism Malaysia for supporting these impactful sessions and look forward to hosting similar programs in the future.”

Mrs. Dipti Pradhan Thakoor, National Director & Board Member, added, “Our objective was to update members on Malaysia’s emerging destinations and facilitate direct interaction with the Tourism Malaysia team. The sessions were both educational and warmly hosted.”

Mr. Dharmesh Advani, National Director, said, “These sessions were an eye-opener. Malaysia offers far more than Kuala Lumpur and Genting. The personalised Q&A sessions and warm hospitality made the experience even more valuable.”

ETAA extends its sincere thanks to Tourism Malaysia for its continued support and looks forward to hosting many more such knowledge-sharing initiatives in the future.
