Ganpati Group Plans ₹250 Crore Sheraton Hotel in Lucknow

Proposed 200-key property forms part of a broader plan to add 800–1,000 hotel keys over three to five years

Ganpati Group has announced a planned investment of approximately ₹250 crore to develop a 200-key hotel in Lucknow in partnership with Sheraton Hotels and Resorts. Located in Vibhuti Khand, the proposed property marks a significant step in the Group’s expansion into branded hospitality.

The development will combine Ganpati Group’s real estate capabilities with Sheraton’s international hospitality brand and management expertise. It forms part of the Group’s ambition to add approximately 800–1,000 hotel keys over the next three to five years, strengthening hospitality’s contribution to its diversified business portfolio.

The Group’s upcoming development portfolio spans approximately ₹2,000 crore across residential, commercial and hospitality projects. Lucknow and Visakhapatnam are among its immediate focus markets, reflecting an expansion strategy centred on locations with business activity, infrastructure growth and tourism potential.

Commenting on the announcement, Nikhil Agarwal, Managing Director, Ganpati Group, said, “Hospitality is an important pillar of our long-term growth strategy, and our planned ₹250 crore investment in Lucknow, in partnership with Sheraton Hotels and Resorts, reflects our conviction in the potential of India’s evolving hospitality market.”

Agarwal highlighted Lucknow’s growing business ecosystem, infrastructure development and tourism appeal as key factors supporting the investment. He added that the partnership aims to contribute to the city’s hospitality infrastructure while creating a stronger and more diversified portfolio for the Group.

As Uttar Pradesh’s capital, Lucknow serves as an important centre for administration, commerce and services. Ganpati Group sees opportunities to develop hospitality assets catering to the city’s evolving business and leisure travel requirements.

The Sheraton partnership underlines the Group’s approach of pairing strategically located real estate investments with established hospitality expertise. Branded hotels are expected to play an increasingly important role as it evaluates opportunities across business, leisure and emerging markets.

With the proposed Lucknow project, Ganpati Group is advancing its hospitality ambitions through a development intended to address changing accommodation needs and support its long-term growth strategy. The investment also reinforces Lucknow’s place within the Group’s immediate expansion priorities.
