Odisha Deputy CM Assures Full Support For 40th IATO Annual Convention in Puri

A delegation from the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), led by President Mr. Ravi Gosain, met the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister of Odisha, Smt. Pravati Parida, to formally invite her to the 40th IATO Annual Convention scheduled to take place from 22nd to 25th August 2025 at Swosti Premium Spa & Resorts, Puri, Odisha.

The IATO delegation included Mr. Sanjay Razdan – Vice President, Mr. Rajiv Mehra – Immediate Past President, Mr. J.K. Mohanty – Chairman, IATO Eastern Region, and Mr. Gagan Sarangi – Chairman, IATO Odisha Chapter.

During the meeting, Smt. Pravati Parida graciously accepted the invitation and extended her wholehearted support for the event. She assured coordination with the Directorate of Tourism, Government of Odisha, and the Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) to ensure the smooth execution of the convention. She also highlighted planned arrangements such as seamless entry for IATO delegates to visit the sacred Lord Jagannath Temple and enhanced beautification of Puri Beach during the convention. Additionally, she agreed to host IATO delegates for post-convention tours at OTDC properties.

Following this, the IATO delegation also met Smt. Mansi Nimbhal, Director (Tourism), Government of Odisha, who confirmed her full support for the upcoming convention.

With the robust backing of Odisha Tourism, the 40th IATO Annual Convention promises to be a landmark event, expecting participation from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, along with 15 to 18 Indian states.

All convention activities — including registration, the inaugural function, business sessions, and evening programs — will take place at Swosti Premium Beach Resort, Puri. Around 1,000 to 1,200 delegates from across the country are anticipated, including senior government officials, tourism industry leaders, hospitality professionals, and travel trade media.

Post-convention tours will be organized across key tourist circuits of Odisha to promote the state as a must-visit destination in both domestic and international markets.
