Scentopia - Crafting My Personal Fragrance with Prachi Saini Garg

Scentopia - Crafting My Personal Fragrance with Prachi Saini Garg

It’s not every day that you walk into a room and come out with a scent that captures your personality in a bottle. That’s exactly what happened at the exclusive Scentopia workshop in Mumbai, hosted by the visionary founder, Ms. Prachi Saini Garg.

Held at the elegant Sahara Star hotel, the workshop was more than just an introduction to fragrance—it was an invitation into the deeply personal and artistic world of perfumery. Prachi, an IIT Roorkee alumna and the force behind Singapore’s renowned Scentopia, has now set her sights on India with Scentzania, an experiential fragrance brand poised to launch in Bengaluru within the next two months.

The session began uniquely: prior to the workshop, we were asked to take a short personality test. Based on our results, Prachi handpicked 12 scent notes tailored specifically to us. It was both surprising and delightful to see how well these notes aligned with our personalities—even before we lifted a single drop of oil.

With calm expertise and a warm smile, Prachi walked us through the process of scent blending. From the crisp freshness of florals to the rich depth of Citrus and Woody, each layer told a story. The room was filled with curious noses, laughter, and silent concentration as we swirled, sniffed, and adjusted the combinations. It was truly an immersive and mindful journey—one that made you appreciate the complexity behind a seemingly simple spritz of perfume.

What made this workshop exceptional was Prachi’s passion for storytelling through fragrance. She spoke of how Scentzania and the upcoming Scentopia in Bangalore aim to bring together science, nature, and emotion—drawing from Indian botanicals and Singapore’s orchid legacy to craft scents that feel familiar yet fresh.

Walking away with a personalized fragrance in hand felt like bottling a part of myself. It wasn’t just a scent—it was a memory, an emotion, and a new connection to a forgotten sense.

With Scentzania’s plans to open across Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad soon, I feel fortunate to have experienced this preview. It’s more than just a product launch—it’s the beginning of a sensory revolution in India.
