Tourism Conclave, Surat, Gujarat
To discuss internal affairs of tourism industry “Tourism Conclave” was organized by The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with Gujarat Tourism at Platinum Hall, Sarasana on 15 June 2013 in Surat, Gujarat.
Ms. Khyati Nayak from Gujarat Tourism gave detailed information about the Tourism Policy of Gujarat Government, investment opportunities in Gujarat Tourism and Niche Tourism. Mr. Gagan Katyal, Vice President Sales & Marketing of Ananta Hotel and Resort Group gave information on 'Hotel Industry - 'Past, Present & Future'. PhD in Tourism Dr. Madhu Gopalan gave information on 'Principle Values and Responsibilities of Travel Profession'. Vice President of South Gujarat Hotel and Restaurant Association Mr. Sanat Relia gave information about 'Star Rating and Classification of Hotels'. Mr. Sanjiv Kumar Sanju gave information on 'Vietnam - a popular tourist attraction'.
The Chamber's Tours and Travel Committee played an important role in organizing this conclave. SGCCI President Mr. Himanshu Bodawala delivered the welcome address. President Elect Mr. Ramesh Vaghasia, Vice President Elect Mr. Vijay Mewawala and Honorary Treasurer Mr. Bhavesh Gadhiya were present in the Conclave. Vote of thanks given by Honorable Secretary Shri Bhavesh Tailor. Mr. Vinesh Shah, advisor of the Chamber's Tours and Travel Committee, gave information on objective & about the conclave.While Committee Co-Chairman Mr. Tapan Jariwala and Chamber Member Mrs. Chandni Dalal conducted the conclave as MOCMember of Tours and Travel Committee Dr. Vasudev Varmora, TAAPI Joint Secretary Mr. Jignesh Patel, SATA President Mr. Minesh Nayak and SGTCA President Mr. Rajeev Shah gave introduction the keynote speakers. Mr. Malcolm Pandol, President, South Gujarat Chapter of TAAI moderated the panel discussion and question-answer session. The experts answered various queries of the tour operators and travel agents and after that the conclave concluded.
