Uzbekistan Tourism Successfully Concludes Roadshow in Mumbai to Promote Tourism & Investment

Wingspan Group, DMC for Uzbekistan and PSA Uzbekistan Airways, along with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in New Delhi successfully conducted a high-profile roadshow in Mumbai. Held at Sofitel Mumbai, the event was attended by over 100 travel agents and MICE specialists from the region. The objective of the roadshow was to promote tourism and investment opportunities in Uzbekistan, while enhancing bilateral ties between India and Uzbekistan.

The event featured six key players from Uzbekistan: The Embassy of Uzbekistan in India, Uzbekistan Tourism Committee, WINGSPAN Uzbekistan DMC, Silk Road Samarkand Complex, Khorezm Region and Amirsoy Ski Resort. These organizations showcased detailed product presentations and highlighted Uzbekistan’s potential as a top destination for family travel, MICE, and Weddings.

The gathering was further enriched by the presence of esteemed dignitaries and industry experts:

Mr. Neeraj Rathi, CMD of Wingspan Group, shared his insights on the enduring cultural and trade connections between India and Uzbekistan, tracing back to the legendary Silk Route. He emphasized how this historical bond continues to shape modern collaborations in tourism and commerce.

His Excellency Mr. Sardor Mirzayusupovich Rustambaev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan in India, addressed the gathering with a compelling narrative on Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage, architectural marvels, and the deep-rooted similarities shared between the two nations. He encouraged Indian travelers to explore Uzbekistan's vibrant cities, historical monuments, and warm hospitality.

Dr. Shukhrat Isakulov, Head of the Department of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, provided a detailed overview of the country’s strategic tourism initiatives. He highlighted government-backed reforms, investment opportunities, and Uzbekistan’s increasing focus on becoming a globally recognized tourism hub.
