FLY91 Inducts Two ATR 72-600 Aircraft at Dubai World Central, Expands Regional Growth Strategy
Regional carrier FLY91 has inducted two brand new ATR 72-600 aircraft into its fleet at a formal ceremony held at Dubai World Central, reinforcing its regional capacity and strengthening ties with UAE-based aviation partners.
With this addition, FLY91’s fleet has grown to six aircraft since the airline commenced operations in March 2024. The newly inducted aircraft, acquired from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise, will be deployed across underserved and emerging regional destinations in India.
Manoj Chacko, Founder, Managing Director and CEO of FLY91, described the induction as a significant milestone in the airline’s measured expansion journey. He noted that welcoming the aircraft in Dubai — a global benchmark for aviation infrastructure and services — reflects the airline’s commitment to building India’s most dependable regional carrier while fostering strong international partnerships. He emphasised that FLY91 remains focused on disciplined and sustainable growth, ensuring every addition to the fleet enhances connectivity, operational reliability and long-term value for the communities it serves.
Addressing the gathering, H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, highlighted the global reputation of the ATR 72-600 for efficiency, reliability and performance, stating that the aircraft is well suited for the communities FLY91 aims to connect. He also underlined Dubai Aerospace Enterprise’s emergence as one of the world’s leading aviation services providers, contributing to broader social and economic development.
Harsha Raghavan, Chairman of FLY91 and Managing Partner at Convergent Finance, said the induction reflects the airline’s structured and financially disciplined approach to scaling operations. Firoz Tarapore, CEO of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise, expressed confidence in supporting FLY91’s expansion and strengthening regional connectivity in India.
Nathalie Tarnaud Laude, CEO of ATR, observed that India is entering a strong aviation growth phase, with regional connectivity playing a critical role. She added that the partnership underscores robust Indo-French aviation cooperation, with Dubai serving as a key global hub for industry collaboration.
FLY91 currently operates to nine destinations across India, including Mopa (Goa), Agatti, Solapur, Jalgaon, Sindhudurg, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Kochi. By March 2026, the airline plans to expand to six additional destinations — Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Hubballi, Nanded, Dabolim and Indore — continuing its calibrated regional growth strategy.
